2017 Solon Mayoral Candidate Forum
APAPA and OCAA are partnering together to host the 2017 Solon Mayoral Candidate Forum, a community event with the aim to help the local residents learn about the mayoral candidates and their positions on issues important to Solon residents, and make informed decisions during the upcoming election. This is a great opportunity to interact with someone who may impact one’s life directly in the community.

The candidate forum is a free community event and open to the public. A crowd of over 200 is expected. City of Solon will videotape the event, and broadcast it live over the local community access TV.
The candidate forum is expected to last for an hour, with a brief welcome address of the organizers. Both Ed Kraus and Doug Magill, the two candidates remaining in the mayoral election after the September primary election, will attend the forum. They will each have 10 minutes to present their campaign platform, and respond to two questions provided by the moderator. The response to moderator questions is limited to 3 minutes. Afterwards, the candidates will have the opportunity to answer questions by residents from the audience. The response to audience questions is limited to 2 minutes.
