How to Register in Ohio

Who can vote early: Any Ohio registered voter can apply for an absentee ballot and vote by mail
Who can vote by mail: Any Ohio registered voter can apply for an absentee ballot and vote by mail
4 Easy Steps:
1. Get the absentee ballot request form
Get the absentee ballot request form online or call 1-877-767-6446 to request one by mail
2. Fill out the application
Step 1 · Provide your name, home address and county, and address to send the ballot to
Step 2 · Provide your birthday and driver’s license number. If you don’t have one, provide the last 4 digits of your Social Security number or a photocopy of one of the following:
Valid photo ID
Military ID, current utility bill, bank statement, paycheck, or government check
Any government document that shows your name and home address
Step 3 · Provide the date of the election you want to vote in
Step 4 · Check the box for “General Election”
Step 5 · Sign and date the form
Step 6 · (Optional) Provide your phone number and email address
3. Send the application
Mail the signed and completed form to your county board of elections. It must be received bynoon on Nov 5.
4. Vote
Once you receive your ballot, follow the instructions to fill it out
Mail your signed and completed ballot to your county board of elections by Nov 7. Or, return your signed and completed ballot to your county board of elections in person by Nov 8.

ID requirements
ID isn’t required to vote by mail
